Lousy design, July 27, 2008 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Intex 12 Volt D/C Electric Pump (Sports) The plastic nozzle did not hold on the pump outlet, was falling off. I taped it to the pump with duct tape. Then it was functional, but could inflate my inflatable mattress only half-way. To inflate it completely, I had to use my manual pump. I returned the product to Amazon for full refund, including my return shipping.
DID NOT WORK, November 7, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Intex 12 Volt D/C Electric Pump (Sports) I ordered this and, in haste, did not check to see if it worked. Packed it up with my camping gear and when I needed to use it at the camping site....it did not work. Seemed like a faulty connection and we tried with several cars. I did not realize there return time was 4 weeks and when I went to print an RMA...the return time had expired. I should have gone with the Colemen as Intex seems to be a crappy brand.

This works pretty fast and fills up a pretty big 1 person tube in around a minute or so. It has enough PSI to inflate it very well. It also deflates quickly too, deflation is very handy for saving space.
The adapters fit pretty good into it but not perfectly. Not a big deal but have to hold it tightly. They seem to fit most any type of inflatable without a car or bicycle type valve. It definitely wont work for bikes or car tires.
For the price I paid, which was 2/3rd the price of a similar one at the marine store, I am very happy with it. I don't know how long it will last, but as far as usefulness it can definitely inflate most plastic inflatables like air mattresses, tow tubes, etc. It's not super loud but not quiet. Seems like it's decent construction quality. If it lasts a few years it's worth it.
