We got this originally for temporary use in the basement, but I'm disabled with a bad back and it's made a huge difference to my pain and ability to function. I've pitched out my (orthopedic) mattress and plan to use this exclusively.

Medical conditions have forced me to use air also. There's no comparison, that air is the way to go if you have pressure problems, or other back problems needing this type of conformed support. This particular air mattress is The Absolute Worst air bed I've ever owned. And It's the highest priced one out there! Don't be fooled by the manufacturer's hype and claims. these beds suck. INTEX offers NO warranty on air beds at all. period. This bed did NOT hold air all night right out of the box. So I had to listen to them tell me, "oh, it just needed breaking in". My nine dollar target air bed only requires additional air once a week. go figgure, huh? Then the end valve just up and popped off, completely, in the middle of the night. Next the bed developed a separtation in the middle of the top, like the lining came apart, and at that point, you could audibly hear the air leaking. All this after only 4, well 3 and a half, nights sleep on the thing... Read more
